📦 Container Shipping Methods
1. FCL (Full Container Load) - The Blue Container
Definition: FCL means a shipment that occupies an entire container.
As shown in the image: The blue container is filled exclusively with yellow boxes, representing "Your Shipment" only.
Key Features:
Sole Use: The shipper (you) has exclusive use of the container.
Faster Transit: Generally faster because the container goes directly to its destination without being loaded or unloaded at a consolidation point.
Ideal for: Large volume shipments that are enough to fill a significant portion of or the entire container.
Cost: Usually more cost-effective per unit of volume than LCL if you have enough goods to maximize the container space.
2. LCL (Less than Container Load) - The Red Container
Definition: LCL means a shipment that does not occupy an entire container and is grouped with other compatible shipments.
As shown in the image: The red container is filled with various colors of boxes (yellow, green, gray, black), representing "Your Shipment" and "Other Importers Shipments."
Key Features:
Shared Space: The container space is shared among multiple shippers.
Consolidation: Requires extra time for consolidation (loading other shipments) and deconsolidation (unloading at the destination).
Ideal for: Smaller volume shipments
Cost: More flexible for small shipments, as you only pay for the volume your goods occupy, though the rate per cubic meter (CBM) is often higher than FCL.
Summary Table

| Handling | Minimal handling. | More handling (consolidation/deconsolidation). |
